YoumustusetheapplicationNiceMemMastertofillthecontentofthememorycard.Ifyouuse
someotherapplication,thecontentswillnotberecognized.
3. SelectthecommandPrinter SettingsintheFilemenu.
4. GotoPrinter Memorytab.
5. LookattheSlotwhereyouhaveinsertedyourmemorycardintheprinter.
6. ChangetheSlotTypetoMemoryCard.
7. Selecttheappropriate.MMFfile,createdbytheapplicationNiceMemMaster.
8. Closealldialogboxes.
9. SelectthePictureobjectintoolbox,thenclickonthelabel.
10. Browsetothepictureonthediskthatyouwanttouse.
Note:
Thisisthesamepictureasyouhavedownloadedtothememorycard.Youneedtoinsertitfromthe
diskforpreviewingpurposesonly.Whenthelabelisprinted,thepicturealreadystoredinthemem-
orycardwillbeused.
11. TicktheoptionPicture is stored on the memory card.

Designing an RFID Smart Label
Overview
TheconceptofRFID(RadioFrequencyIDentification)canbesimplifiedtothatofanelectronicbar
code.Firstemerginginthe1980s,RFIDwasprimarilyusedtotrackobjectsinindustrialenvi-
ronmentswherebarcodeswereunabletosustaintheharshsurroundings.Today,RFIDisbeingused
totrackproprietaryassets,automateaccesscontrolandhasmanymoreadditionalfieldsofusage.
SomethermalprintershavetheabilitytoprogramaRFIDtagatthesametimeastheyareprinting
thelabel.Twodifferenttechnologiesandtheirencodingmethodsarejoinedonthesamelabel.Of
coursealabelmusthaveembeddedaRFtag.Thetagispaperthin,flexibleandsmallinsizewhich
allowsittobeplacedinconspicuouslyunderthelabel.Itconsistsofanetchedantennaandatiny
chipthatcanstoreIDnumberoryourcustomdatainlargerquantities.Thiscontrastswithabarcode
label,whichdoesnotstoreanyenhancedinformation,butmerelysomecodenumber.
Radiofrequencyidentification(RFID)referstotechnologiesthatuseradiowavestoautomatically
identifyindividualorgroupsofitems.ThelabelingsoftwareandNiceDriverssupportprogramming
andprintingofRFIDtagsembeddedinalabel.
Note:
YoucanuseRFIDfunctionalityinthelabelingsoftwareonlyifyouhaveinstalledaNiceDriver
withRFIDsupport.MakesureyouinstalltheNiceDriverofyourRFIDprinterbeforeyoudesign
andprintanRFIDsmartlabel.
Create RFID Smart Label
1.
Clickon buttonintheStandard toolbar.LabelSetupWizardwillstart.
2. SelecttheprinterthatsupportsRFIDsmartlabelprinting.
